Aligned with the Guiding Principles for Dual Language Education and the National Dual Language Education Teacher Preparation Standards, our courses are intentionally designed to provide research-based strategies and tools for dual language educators. We believe in working alongside teachers to help them develop the knowledge and skills they seek to make their classroom practices more effective, efficient, and equitable. Courses are available in English and Spanish.

Our consulting services include professional development for dual language teachers as well as dual language leadership coaching for principals, coaches, and central office administrators. Monthly or quarterly follow-up coaching is available for all of our workshops and retreats. Customized options are available.

Tandem Teaching 101
Mode: On-Site or Hybrid
Time Frame: 2 or more days (depending on size of program)
Focus: One-day PD/community building on Tandem Teaching 101 plus one-day (or more depending on program size) site visit/observations focused on key areas of Tandem Teaching - namely, cross-linguistic co-planning with an emphasis on relationship-building and consistent practices for classroom management and family engagement.

Strategies for Success
Mode: On-Site or Hybrid
Time Frame: 2 or more days (depending on size of program)
Focus: One-day PD on the common roots and soil of effective instruction for multilingual learners plus one-day (or more depending on program size) site visit/observations focused on current practices with the common roots and soil.

CROSS-LINGUISTIC CURRICULUM MAPPING
Mode: On-Site
Time Frame: 3-5 days
Focus: Using our four-step process for cross-linguistic curriculum mapping as a point of departure, our cross-linguistic curriculum mapping retreats provide guidance for biliteracy mapping, cross-linguistic mapping in other content areas, and comprehensive cross-linguistic mapping of all content areas.

- outcome: school personnel increase their knowledge and skills about using the four-step process for cross-linguistic curriculum mapping, have successfully mapped one or more units, and have a plan of action for moving forward
INDIVIDUALIZED CONSULTATIONS

Focus: An opportunity for individualized feedback and guidance on an activity of your choice related to Tandem Teaching and cross-linguistic coordination in the context of dual language education.
